DELSO is a leading distributor of fertilisers, with a track record in the industry dating back to 1978. We perform all processes from the top to the bottom of the fertiliser value chain, from import and in-house production to marketing and distribution for final delivery to the customer, including intermediate logistics activities such as storage, packaging, and processing. We are currently leaders in the manufacture of compacted fertiliser, with a production capacity of more than 150,000 tonnes/year. We also have an extensive network of sales, logistics and production companies in various countries.
Our sales network is present in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Morocco and Angola. In addition, our own logistics centres serve the sales network and third parties with products as diverse as fertilisers, agrochemicals, coatings, cereals and raw materials for other industries. We are therefore located in the main supply points of the countries where we have a presence.
At DELSO, we incorporate the latest advances in fertilisation techniques through our research centre and our technological product company DFINNOVA, whose product range includes the most efficient and environmentally friendly technological solutions designed to maximise the yield of each crop.
Since the Delso family embarked on this adventure more than 40 years ago, The Group has changed a lot, becoming a large multinational, but the friendly and close treatment remains the same.

In 2025, we completed the acquisition of Nutrien Italia, making it our flagship company in Italy, where it operates as Delso S.p.A.
Our history begins in the town of Calatayud in 1978 with the founding of a small fertiliser distribution company by the Delso family.
Regional expansion gets underway with the founding of Fertilizantes del Noreste, which acquires its second warehouse in Calatayud.
Through the creation of Ferticenter and the development of a distribution structure, the Group expands its operations across Spain.
We expand into Portugal with the creation of Adubos Deiba. Deladubos is also set up to develop the logistics division and goes on to become the leading distributor of fertilisers and agrochemicals in Portugal.
We diversify our activities by developing the logistics division, for which purpose new facilities are built in various strategic points of the Iberian Peninsula (Vía Liquida, Cantábrica de Graneles and Peninsular Logistics, etc.).
The Group strengthens distribution in Catalonia by creating the company Fertilizantes Catalanes, FERTICAT, which is a major commercial boost for the Group. Today, the company also distributes motor lubricants, being the only #Texaco distributor in Catalonia and the #Cepsa distributor for Lleida, Barcelona and Tarragona.
In the same year, the company begins operations in Angola with the creation of FertiAngola, currently the country’s market leader in solid fertilisers.
FERTICCYL is founded, marking a shift from the sale and distribution of fertilisers to producing them, NPK fertilisers in this case.
which allows us to expand our production capacity with a new NPK fertiliser factory located in Talavera la Real (Badajoz).
This company is created with the aim of consolidating the Group’s leading position in Andalusia. In addition, Tránsitos Vía Sur, which owns strategically located warehouses close to the port of Seville, is acquired.
Construction of the group’s first facilities in Morocco, located in the port of Jorf Lasfar, as a base for distributing fertilisers through our marketing company, Société d’Agriculture et de Logistique Maroc (SALM).
Is created DFINNOVA for the purpose of developing a new range of advanced fertilisers that are more efficient and sustainable, and incorporate new fertiliser technologies. A commitment to state-of-the-art technological solutions for agriculture.
DFBLUEAGRO is created as a vehicle through which to expand our sales network into the neighbouring country, boost the Group’s business in northern Spain and our R&D&I capacity.
After a year of major investment to develop our logistics capabilities, in 2021 we launch our first in-house R&D&I laboratory.
We also achieve a new alliance for supplying low-emission nitrogen fertilisers.
DFAFRICA is born, to further strengthen the African market in our portfolio. A company that is taking its first steps, and is already showing great potential.
As a sign of our commitment to the future, this year we set up a dedicated department to centralise our sustainability efforts.
We expand our product and service range, moving closer to end customers to better understand and quickly adapt to their needs.
The Group’s specialities company expands into foreign markets, and positions itself in Portugal, France, Italy, Morocco and Angola.
In 2024, our state-of-the-art facility opens in Burgos for the production of SASG3, the first 3 mM Ammonium Sulphate granules produced in Europe.
Following a long and successful period under the leadership of Carlos Delso, he is succeeded by his right-hand man Raúl Delso, who brings extensive expertise across all areas of company management
Delso S.p.A. is founded, the Group's flagship in Italy, a new European market for the company, where we start with a 4% market share.
Due to its rapid growth, the Group had been bringing together a very diverse number of companies and brands, which in 2025 merged into a single identity for the whole world. DELSO, the largest privately-owned business group in the sector in Europe, is born.
